About this site
This site started with a corn cob.
My dog Milo ate one off the counter in 2022. Twelve hours and $3,800 later, I learned two things: emergency vet care is expensive, and I had no idea how pet insurance actually worked.
I spent the next year reading policies, filing sample claims, and calling providers pretending to be a potential customer. I found good plans. I found terrible ones. I found fine print that would make your head spin.
Good pet insurance exists. But finding it means wading through marketing language, confusing policy documents, and comparison tables that compare the wrong things.
This site is what I wish I'd had that night at the emergency vet. A straight answer without the sales pitch.
I do not work for any insurance company. I do not sell policies. I just read the fine print so you do not have to.
